About Me
Hi! I'm Alaina Miller, and I have been dancing most of my life. I started when I was three at The Mirabelli Community Center. I took beginner classes like ballet, tap, and tumbling. Shortly after I quit to try cheer and soccer, but I quickly lost my interest in both and went back to dance, now attending Reflections Dance Center. Just last year I had to choose between volleyball or dance, but I easily knew dance was more of an interest of mine. Giving me the opportunity to be on Dance Fusion.
One goal of mine this year is to be a much better dancer than the last year. I feel like I lost so much skill and practice these past couple of months with the limited space I have and not being able to attend a studio. Now I am given much more free time and more availability to practice and be the best I can be. Some of my other goals are to be a better turner and get my ariel. I feel like I would be a much better asset to Fusion if I have more skills and tricks to perform with.
In the future, I can definitely see myself still dancing, I don't think competitively, but just as an outlet. My dream college is definitely Oxford, but if that doesn't work out I would also love to attend BYU Hawaii. A dream job for me would definitely be something in the music or fashion industry. I'm excited to see what the future brings to me.

Name Solo
This video is about the way I got my name, it was unplanned and somewhat last minute, but everything worked out. The most difficult part of creating my video was finding someone to record it in with the style I had imagined and coming up with choreography that is fitting for my name's story. I learned that is really hard to have the dedication to make a meaningful solo and film it during these times, and I learned that I need to extend through my feet more. I'm taking this information to make my next video better by spending more time thinking about and creating my solo and rewatching my videos and filming as many times as needed to keep good technique.
Name Solo
This video is about the feelings I've felt, and I'm sure others have, this past year, there were points where I felt lonely and honestly helpless, it felt as if everyone was "Half the World Away." Although I had my phone and family around I still never got that full connection that I thrived for and felt torn away from the world. The most difficult part of creating my video is I had so many ideas that I couldn't put into one so my video became one big mess. A valuable lesson I learned is I need to actually be rational with what I can with the amount of time I have with making my solo, I would either put it off or have these crazy ideas that I could not achieve. I'm taking this information to make my next video better as to remember my own strengths as a dancer and use those to my advantage.
